Win Some Great Holiday Books for Your Kids!
Fairy books with very special messages for the season
It’s really hard sometimes to remember WHAT the holidays are about. Luckily, there’s a little fairy named Eve starring in some great books we’ve found that truly get to the heart of the meaning, and we’ve GOT to share them with you!
Winter’s Eve: Love and Lights tells a beautiful rhyming story of how Eve’s good friends all head for home to celebrate with their families. While they are gone, they send messages, gifts and deliver phone calls explaining how they participate in their holidays, which all involve the magic of light, family and friends. Advent, Chinese New Year, Hanukkah, St. Lucia’s Day, Diwali, Kwanzaa and admittedly, some I’ve never even heard of (but was delighted to learn about!) are explored in this charmingly illustrated and lyrically written book.
Eve also captures our hearts in Christmas Eve: The Joy of Giving when she is beckoned to help Santa get things back on track when the Elves catch a mean case of the elfpox. Everybody’s in a funk because the elves are all polka-dotted! The reindeer are exhausted, bored and tired from working so hard filling in. Eve’s worried because she’s so small she doesn’t know how she can help. This is when Santa reminds us of a certain little teeny Babe who lay in a manger. Yep, it pulls at the heartstrings while mixing myth, magic and His Majesty!
