The rain on the 2010 Golden Globes red carpet last night brought out umbrellas of all sizes, but it’s a pity none of them were large enough to cover some of the fashion don’ts we spied. Here’s BettyConfidential’s roundup of stars who should have really, and we mean really, looked in the mirror before they left the house.

She picked up a Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress in a series, miniseries or TV movie, but this flapping ruffled creation, which got torn as Chloe made her way up the podium, was designed by the new team at Valentino, who won’t win any awards for this number.

  1. @Christina Hendricks – Hate it. Looks like something you’d find on the Goodwill clearance rack. Or maybe she’s auditioning for a “Pretty in Pink” remake, sans pink. I just think Christian Siriano is so overrated, because he never strays from the trademark ruffles. A designer should design something that suits his client, and with her curves, ruffles ain’t it.

  2. Wow, Mariah really blew up & I saw that coming. When she was doing lots of promotion about her new fitness and eating routine, I could tell by the way she was eating that she would only gain the weight back, plus some. It’s a prime example of love yourself the way you are (don’t try to be something you’re not – she just isn’t mean to be super svelte) and everything in moderation.

  3. I love Christina Hendricks and normally like what she’s wearing, but the color of that dress is horrible. She is far too pale to be wearing such a light and fleshy) color. Also, she is curvy enough on her own and does not need all of those ruffles, which make her look heavy. Being custom made, the designer really let her down. It reminds me of my Peaches n’ Cream Barbie from the 80s.
