A Top Gun Sequel? Heck Yes!
Word is that Tom Cruise wants to get back in the cockpit.
Tom Cruise is feeling the need for speed all over again. The actor and producer Jerry Bruckheimer are reportedly mulling a sequel to the ’80s action flick Top Gun.
In 1986 a little movie about a hot shot fighter pilot who doesn’t play by the rules (a “Maverick” if you will), who guns down bad guys, wins over pretty flight instructors with bar room serenades, and all-in-all saves the world hit theaters and became one of the biggest phenomena of the decade.
There was also a raunchily awesome soundtrack from Kenny Loggins.
And now there are talks of turning the military industrial complex orgy into a sequel, with original producer Jerry Bruckheimer saying it’s been a long time coming.
