BC: What’s your personal skincare routine like? Have any tips to share?

PS: I firmly believe that the most effective skin care routines start from within. Therefore, I do my best to drink at least six glasses of water a day, limit my caffeine intake, and generally eat a balanced diet full of antioxidant-rich fruit and vegetables.

My skin care routine starts with my morning shower. I always shower with warm water instead of hot water because warm water doesn’t dry out my skin as much as hot water does. I also never use OTC soap,s as I find that these soaps are too harsh on my skin and tend to cause my skin to dry out. Instead, I wash my skin with African black soap and then exfoliate using one of my sugar scrubs.

Outside of the shower, I like to apply one of my body butters before I towel dry. Once I’ve applied the body butter, I towel dry any remaining moisture. This is a trick I’ve learned during my many years of experimenting with shea body butters.

As for my face, I apply a small amount of 100 percent natural witch hazel to my face to help close my pores before applying a moisturizer with SPF protection.

BC: If you were stranded on a deserted island with only one skincare product, what would you want it to be and why?

PS: Well, I hope I’m not stranded on a deserted island anytime soon, but if I am, I hope that I have enough of my Enchanted Love Potion body butter to get me through the ordeal! I think it’s safe to assume that if I’m stuck in this situation, I’ll have to protect my skin from the elements. My shea body butters are rich enough to help protect my skin from such factors as wind and harsh temperature fluctuations. Also, luckily for me, my body butters are made with coconut oil, shea butter, and beeswax, all of which help protect from sun damage.

As a bonus, this particular body butter also includes Jasmine oil. The aroma of Jasmine flowers is one of my favorite scents and often brings back memories of my childhood. The fragrance would help me cope emotionally by reminding me of my loved ones and the good times I’ve had with my family.

BC: Time for a few favorites! What’s your favorite color? Scent? Season of the year?

PS: My favorite color is cherry red, my favorite scent is the aroma of Jasmine flowers, and my favorite season of the year is spring.

BC: Where do you find your inspiration?

PS: My inspiration comes from hearing from friends, family and customers how the simple products that I’ve created are helping brighten their days and improve their skin. I become highly motivated to expand and improve my line of body scrubs when I get emails from busy moms telling me what a treat it is for them when they manage to take a few minutes for themselves in the shower to pamper themselves with my scrubs. Likewise, I get inspired to develop new recipes when I learn how my body butters are helping improve people’s skin problems.

BC: If you could have any celebrity, living or dead, use your stuff, who would it be?

PS: I am a huge fan of Scarlett Johansson. She is not only a talented artist, but also a beautiful woman with flawless skin which I am certain she works very hard to maintain. It would be a dream come true for me if she were to try my products and fall in love with them!
