All the Deets: Anne Hathaway’s Valentino Wedding Gown + Headpiece
Want to know more about the Valentino creation Anne Hathaway wore to her wedding? Read on for all the deets!
Love it or hate it, the frothy Valentino confection and elaborate headpiece Anne Hathaway wore at her wedding last weekend was certainly a statement-making look. And hey, guess what? People managed to dig up some more details to fill the lines of those blurry wedding photos—along with a sketch from Valentino himself!
Valentino’s rep revealed to the mag that his design team created a strapless ivory silk point d’esprit tulle dress (although it’s worth noting that the dress doesn’t look like your standard strapless wedding dress—the effect is more of an off-the-shoulder look, which has gone over well with just about everyone). The pink shaded train was hand-painted and embroidered with satin flowers, and the headpiece and veil were both inspired by the Roaring ‘20s. Lace ribbon, a large flower, and crystal beads added a little extra oomph to the headpiece.
One of People’s sources noted that Anne skipped the jewelry—which, given the showstopping gown and veil, was probably a good move. “The wedding was lovely and Anne looked gorgeous,” the source said.
Congrats once again to the newlyweds!
