Are Brad Pitt + Angelina Jolie Getting Married This Weekend in France?
Rumor has it that Brad Pitt and Angelina might be getting ready to tie the knot this weekend in France. But is it true?
Rumor mill alert!
According to Lainey Gossip, French outlets are reporting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie just might marry at their Chateau Miraval vacation home this weekend. Gossip mags have been speculating about the wedding date ever since Brad and Angie announced their engagement in April, and now France 3 Cote d’Azur is claiming that there has been wedding activity at Miraval for days. Could this finally be it?
To add fuel to the fire, Ace Showbiz reports that the “activity” around the estate is a big ol’ party Brad and Angie are currently organizing for their family and friends. Brad’s mom and dad, Jane and Bill, have apparently already arrived; also on the guest list are jeweler Robert Procop, who created Angelina’s engagement ring, and Brad’s bestie, George Clooney.
Of course, the celebration could be in honor of any number of occasions; for example, it might be for Jane and Bill’s 50th wedding anniversary—which, incidentally, is this Saturday. That’s not stopping the rumors from flying, though, especially in those oh-so-fun tabloids. UK tabloid The Sun, for instance, quotes an unnamed source as saying, “Brad flew in to oversee preparations but they’re all here now. They say it’s for Jane and Bill, but some think this could be it. Even Angelina’s private jeweler is here.”
So is it true? Call me a skeptic, but I’m not so sure. All we have to go on right now is the word of a whole bunch of tabloids, and let’s face it: Tabloids aren’t exactly known for their truthfulness (see: making stuff up). Furthermore, Lainey Gossip notes that not all of the French publications are in agreement—Var Matin, for example, says that although the wedding is imminent, it’s not happening this weekend.
Well, if it is happening, congrats, and if it’s not, that’s cool too. I suppose we’ll find out on Monday, won’t we?
