Ashley Greene Reveals Her Biggest Hair Mishaps
Bad hair days happen to the best of us! Twilight star Ashley Greene dishes on some of hers.
Bad hair can happen to anyone—even stars. I don’t know about you, Bettys, but I find this fact comforting, especially on days when my wacky mane refuses to do what I tell it to. Case in point: Ashley Greene. The 25-year-old Twilight star recently sat down with Stylelist to chat about her best beauty tips and tricks; naturally, this meant discussing some of her biggest mishaps as well, especially with regards to her hair. So what exactly did Ashley put her poor locks through during the days of her youth? Here’s what she had to say:
On overdyeing: “My hair’s been every color under the sun, and some are good and some are bad.” Ah, the wonders—and horrors!—of experimentation.
On flammability: “I used to scrunch my hair. I used entirely too much hair gel. It was highly flammable, extremely crunchy. I feel like you could break it.” Ouch. Did anyone else just have a vision of Alice Cullen with her head on fire?
On her biggest hair mistake: “I think the biggest mistake I ever made was when one of my friends was like, ‘You should just iron your hair with an iron.’ It was not good at all. It was just stick-straight.” It’s bad enough to over-flatten your hair with a flatiron—but a REGULAR iron? Talk about a recipe for disaster!
On teenage stupidity: “I was probably around 14 when I [ironed my hair]; I did a lot of dumb things at 14.” Don’t we all?
Refreshing! Head on over to Stylelist to read more about Ashley’s views on beauty, including how to wear bronzer without looking like a clown, how she got comfortable with her body, and why she’s looking forward to her 30s.
