Beauty Road Test: L’Oreal Professionnel Absolut Repair Cellular Hair Care Collection
Your extremely dry, damaged hair can be saved!
A bad hair day once in awhile is annoying. What about a bad hair week, or a bad hair month? That’s when you want to just lay your head down and cry. If you have a permanent case of the frizzies or if you’re like me, victim of a bad dye job, getting your hair back to its optimum health can seem like a long journey.
Back in June I went to an incompetent hairstylist who almost destroyed my hair. How bad? Well last summer I wore a lot of hats. The hairstylist I have now is a wizard. And we’re both being very careful with my poor locks.
Recently I was sent the L’Oreal Professionnel Absolut Repair Cellular Cleansing balm ($24) and the L’Oreal Professionnel Absolut Repair Cellular Masque ($30) and decided to road test them.
The new L’Oreal Professionnel Absolut Repair system is targeted to dry, frizzy, split ends damaged, over processed hair- in other words hair that’s a hot mess…like mine. They promise that within 10 day of using the product, you’ll have happy, healthy hair. How? They go into the root with Lactic Acid- restores ionic junctions between cortex cells that provide strength and elasticity to the hair. They also utilize INCELL Technology. It restores interceullular cement. Links scales together again, giving the hair fiber a smooth and shiny finish. And their products are sulfate free.
I have to be very honest with you, I’m very sceptical when it comes to “miracle cures.” I didn’t think anything would happen when I used the products. The first time I used it, my hair was soft, shiny and frizzy. The second time I used the shampoo and the masque, my hair was frizz free, felt and looked incredible. The third time I used the product, I’ve got soft silky hair.
Now that my hair is beginning to become the healthy mop that it used to be, I’m going to switch out the masque for the new L’Oreal Professionnel Absolut Repair Cellular Conditioner ($22) to prevent my hair becoming over saturated with good things and back the masque up to once a week.
L’Oreal Professionnel products are sold at salons nationwide. To find a salon near you that carries the products, please use their online store locator.
