Beauty Road Test: Nudes Go Sexy With Benefit’s ‘World Famous Neutrals’ Palettes
Neutral doesn’t have to mean boring! Rock super sexy eyes with Benefit’s new World Famous Neutrals shadow palettes.
Love the idea of neutral makeup shades, but haven’t quite mastered the art of wearing them yet? Me too. Luckily for both us, the geniuses at Benefit released a set of three eye shadow palettes geared towards helping you get the most out of your favorite neutral shades—with no muss or fuss about them. Ladies, meet Benefit’s new World Famous Neutrals palettes ($30, sephora.com). How thrilled was I to try these babies out? There are not words. Seriously.
Being the sucker for plum-based eye shadows that I am, I decided to try out the “dramatic and daring” Sexiest Nudes Ever palette ($30, sephora.com). The handy little box features two creaseless cream shadows in a peachy color called Bikini-tini and a smoky shade appropriately named Holy Smokes!; also included are longwear powder shadows in pearly white Milk It!, lilac-esque Pause for Applause, plum Raincheck?, and silver Bingo!. The colors looked perfect for green eyes, and happily, I was not disappointed.
As is always the case with Benefit’s kits these days, this one includes a booklet of tips and tricks to help you get the most mileage out of these four shades—and even better, it’s got step by step instructions for two different looks. In need of something work-friendly to wear in the daytime? Try applying Bikini-tini over your entire lid, blending Raincheck? into the crease, and sweeping Pause for Applause across your brow bone. Bikini-tini can also be used to line your bottom lashes.
Want to go all smoky-eyed and fabulous during for nighttime (or “playtime,” as Benefit cheekily calls it)? Try blending Holy Smokes! over your lid, pat a little bit of Bingo! In the center and on the inner corner to add some pop, and highlight your brow bone with a sweep of Milk It!. Ta-da!
I actually ended up forgoing Benefit’s Bikini-tini-as-liner tip, instead finishing off both looks with a touch of silver eyeliner and a brush of black mascara; a brown or charcoal-colored liner would probably work, too. Either way, these looks are super easy, as well as super sexy. Love!
Benefit’s World Famous Neutrals palettes are also available in pink-toned Easiest Nudes Ever (said to be “soft and flattering”) and bronze-colored Most Glamorous Nudes Ever (“rich and illuminating”). Snap ‘em up now at sephora.com!
