This awards season, True Grit’s Hailee Steinfeld was everybody’s darling. She always dressed age appropriately and was so excited to be whereever she was. Sunday night, Ryan Seacrest asked her if she thought last year that she’d be talking to him this year. She said, “Honestly, it’s crazy, I try not to analyze it too much because it drives me crazy. A year ago, I was auditioning for the role and now I’m here.” When Ryan asked her who did her dress, she told him, “I helped design it. It’s a one of a kind Marchesa … I drew something out, they made it and I’m in love with it!” So are we! Hailee paired her dress with a Ferragamo clutch and their double platform peep-toe nude pumps. Perfection.
The bright red of Sandra Bullock’s Vera Wang gown makes her complexion creamy like porcelain. Sandra paired it with jewelry from Harry Winston. She looked like a queen.
Melissa Leo may have accidentally dropped the “F bomb” during her acceptance speech for Best Supporting Actress (The Fighter), but she looked fantastic in her Marc Bouwer gown.
Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem
Looking at her, it’s impossible to believe that Penelope Cruz just had a baby! Here she is with hubby, Javier Bardem. Penelope wore a L’Wren Scott gown and Chopard jewelry. Javier wore a Gucci black peak lapel Signoria two-button, three piece tuxedo with white dress shirt, black satin bow tie and black leather lace ups for the red carpet. Then he changed to a Gucci made to order cream one-button jacket, white shirt, cream bowtie and black tuxedo trousers. And you thought only women changed more than once for these shows!
Anne Hathaway looked glorious in her strapless Valentino gown and platinum jewelry from Tiffany’s. This was the first of 12 changes she had last night!
