Betty Says No… To Reality Stars on the Red Carpet
What makes them think they can make a grand entrance like real celebs?
Ok, this trend has got to stop. We’re sick of seeing reality stars from The Real Housewives and Jersey Shore crashing movie premieres and fancy red carpet events. It’s just not cool anymore.
To walk a red carpet is a privilege and an honor, and it should be reserved for those who have worked hard at their craft and deserve to have all eyes on them. Hard-working actresses like Salma Hayek and Tina Fey belong on the red carpet.
Snooki and JWoww do not.
They are famous for allowing camera crews to document their everyday lives, which involves little to no effort on their part. And yet, Snooki, JWoww and Countess Luann de Lesseps walked the red carpet yesterday for the premiere of The Grown-Ups with all the other actors who actually starred in the movie.
Adam Sandler and Chris Rock must have been so puzzled. “Who are these people?” they must’ve asked. And we’re asking ourselves the same thing.
So please, reality stars, if you get invited to a movie premiere, by all means go. But please use the general entrance like everybody else. No one likes a crasher!
Tell us: What do you think about reality stars appearing on red carpets?
