The warmth and sun left, and the temperature started to drop rapidly, and then the rain rolled in and annoyed everyone for the entire day. Have you ever noticed that when you wear suede shoes it rains? From now on, I’ll wear vinyl, just to make sure we have sunny days!
Betty headed backstage before the Timo Weiland show and interviewed MAC artist, Nadine Luke about the makeup look for the show.
What Brooke said about Timo Weiland:
I chatted with Leonardo Manetti of Ion Studio — he was doing hair for the show. He stated that the hair was “’60s meets now.” So the long hair was given waves with a 1 and 1/3 inch curling iron, and then lightly back teased just at the crown. Because the hair wasn’t stiff like ’60s hair and a bit messy, it became more modern looking.
A DJ played upbeat tunes as I scoped out Timo’s Spring 2011 collection. Immediately, the term “casual elegance” came to mind. The nautical look will definitely be back next spring for both men and women. Yay! Lots of navy and white!
Personally, I loved the navy and camel strapless sundress. The ruffled trim gives it a girly feel. Pair it with brown heels like the model did above, or slip on some cute flats and a cardigan. We love versatility!
Once we power through winter, I’ll be very excited to see Timo’s stuff in stores for spring.
