Betty White Named AP Entertainer of the Year
Go Betty! The 88-year-old has been voted Entertainer of the Year by the Associated Press.
Betty White has already been given the honor of being one of our Amazeballs women of 2010, and now, she has another title to celebrate. The Associate Press has voted the 88-year-old Entertainer of the Year.
There’s a list of reasons why the actress is on fire this year, but Betty feels 2010 was just like any other year in her long career. “It’s been phenomenal, but everybody keeps congratulating me on my resurgence and my big comeback,” she says. “I haven’t been away, guys. I’ve been working steadily for the last 63 years.”
But, the funny gal is honored to be recognized by the Associate Press. She says of her new title, “It’s ridiculous. They haven’t caught on to me, and I hope they never do.”
Way to go, Betty! We’re so proud to have the same name as you! (Newser)
