Betty Works Out with Lady Gaga’s Trainer, Harley Pasternak!
The celebrity fitness trainer showed us a bunch of great moves that he uses with clients like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Megan Fox and more.
In a perfect world, I’d have Lady Gaga’s abs, Megan Fox’s legs and Katy Perry’s waist. But this isn’t a perfect world, and I don’t have the time to devote to the gym like these celebs do, or the money to afford a personal trainer. So when I met Harley Pasternak, fitness and nutrition expert, author of The 5-Factor World Diet, and personal trainer to these sexy stunners, I thought he’d have some elaborate workout plan – one that would be impossible for me to maintain as a non-celebrity.
And I was fully prepared to be in pain after my workout session with him as part of the ACE Brand Products by 3M event held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel & Spa (those top-of-the-line ACE Brand braces were going to come in handy!). But to my surprise, Harley’s fitness regimen was so simple.
“My workout is made up of five phases,” Harley explained. “A cardio warm-up, a circuit of upper body strength, lower body strength, abdominal strength, and a cardio cool-down… Each day of the week we do different body parts, and each week we change the reps, sets, level of resistance, etc.”
It sounded easy enough, but to really show me how simple these phases are, Harley coached me through a couple of workouts to help tone my arms, legs, and abs. These are moves that he uses with all of his clients…
