Bret Michaels Hospitalized Again After Stroke
Both he and his family are devastated the rocker is back in the hospital.
Bret Michaels was out of the hospital, feeling good after suffering from a subarachnoid hemorrhage a few weeks ago. He was even planning to return to work to film the live season finale of Celebrity Apprentice on May 23. But sadly, the rocker is back in the hospital.
Michaels suffered a “warning stroke” this week, where the left side of his body, including his face and hands, went numb. Returning to the hospital, which his rep says he is “sick and tired” of being in, doctors found a hole in Michael’s heart.
“There is no doubt that [this] is devastating news to Bret and his family,” says Michaels’ doctor, Dr. Joseph Zabramski. “The good news is that it is operable and treatable and we think we may have diagnosed the problem that caused the Transient Ischemic Attack [or mini stroke].”
Dr. Zabramski adds that this new development in Michaels’ health is not linked to the brain hemorrhage he had a few weeks ago, but there is no doubt that the hole in his heart needs to be treated before Michaels can return to Celebrity Apprentice.
That is a lot of health problems for one man. Michaels had an emergency appendectomy just a little over a month ago. Plus, he’s been battling with diabetes for most of his life. Do all of these health complications in such a short period of time mean that something is seriously wrong? (People)
