Bright, Bold, and Beautiful at QVC’s Show: MB Fashion Week Fall 2012
At Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, QVC presented a fresh and extensive color palette just in time for spring!
On Wednesday, February 8, 2012, the weather in New York City was frightful (think freezing snow and rain). But that didn’t stop Manhattan fashionistas from slipping and sliding over to the QVC Fall/Winter 2012 Fashion Show at Center 548 in their 4-inch heels.
And from the looks of the colorfully-clad models, it seems that this spring, we’ll be losing the neutrals in favor of bright tangerine, leopard print, oversized florals, and nautical stripes. Dresses will be long, tops will be sheer, heels will be tall, and top hats and chunky jewelry will complete each ensemble.
Right before the models started strutting, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen appeared among the crowds, only to be whisked away to the front row minutes later. But not before Isaac Mizrahi greeted them, making them the most stylish trio in the room. Camila Alves, Maria Menounos, and Olivia Palermo were also spotted alongside the black-clad twins.
As expected, Mizrahi’s eye catching Mandarin floral trench coat was a standout hit among the show’s attendees.
Coupled with Camila Alves’ leather fringed hobo bag, Geren Ford’s watercolor maxi exuded urban cool.
Karen Zambos’ stunning silky kimono top was perfectly paired with Fern Mallis’ pearl cluster drop necklace. Office appropriate but still sleek enough for a night out on the town, we’ll be clicking away for these offerings come spring.
Marc Bouwer’s bright blue jumpsuit sent shockwaves through the runway…in a very good way. Sure, you’ll need guts to pull off this number, but bold and daring has always been our forte. Get ready for a rockin’ season to remember, gals!
