Celeb Parenting: Brad Takes The Kids To The Park
Plus: Real Housewife Kelly was a fat mom-to-be—all in Betty’s Parenting Dish.
Hi, Betty moms! Each week we go over the newest and most interesting parenting news to bring you the latest, most fun and informative parenting news from around the web. This week, a superstar proves he’s a good daddy, a reason to think twice about “enriching” DVDs for baby, and the sad truth about morning sickness.
Friday in the park with Brad
It was a perfect day for zip-lining (skidding along a suspended line while holding on to a handle), and so the Pitt-Jolies took three of the kids to a park in Budapest, where Brad and Angie are living right now. Pax, who’ll be turning 7 any day now; Zahara, 5, and Shiloh, 4. (The twins, Knox and Vivienne, weren’t there, and Maddox, 9, the oldest, was reportedly in New York City, where Brad went to a movie premiere with him a few days before. No surprise that the fiercely independent Shiloh was the most adventurous zip-liner, smiling the world’s most adorable smile as daddy got her ready to go on her trip across. And like any father, Pitt made sure his daughter had protective headgear, and that the line wasn’t too high for her. Awww. (celebritybabyscoop)
Don’t worry, moms-to-be! Kelly got fat during her pregnancy!
Real Housewife of New York Kelly Bensimon was a model once, and watched her weight accordingly. But she stopped trying to stay skinny once she got pregnant, because she wanted her children to have a healthy birth weight. In a piece she wrote for the website hollybaby, Kelly said, “No exercise…I really enjoyed myself. I ate whatever I wanted. I took the vitamins I was supposed to…I gained 50 lbs. with both children [daughters Sea, 12, and Teddy, 10]. I was huge. I had skinny arms and legs and a huge belly.” But Kelly got what she wanted: her daughters were born with a healthy weight of 8.7 or 8.8 lbs. each. And then (like most models, we think) she was able to drop the pounds. “So don’t worry about it, if you gain,” Kelly advised the website’s readers. You can lose it. The most important thing is to have a healthy pregnancy!” (hollybaby)
