Celebrities Helped Give Love and You Can Too!
Give Love has helped 400,000 school kids in Haiti.
When a disaster strikes, it’s in the forefront of everyone’s mind. As days go by, you can forget that it ever happened. Haiti’s earthquake happened a year ago, but to the residents of that island, dealing with the devastating effects is a daily occurrence.
Give Love is a non-proft founded by Patricia Arquette and Rosetta Millington-Getty. It assists in the development of temporary housing solutions and improved sanitation systems. 400,000 school children now have access to compost toilets (think of the altenative…yuck) because of Give Love.
Give Love’s programs include providing communities and NGOs (Non-Govermental Agencies) with training on how to build compost toilets, projects to treat human waste (a huge cause of disease), improve public health and more. They’ve also partnered with primary schools in Haiti to provide compost toilers and environmental education.
Recently, the founders of Give Love threw a fund-raising party in Hollywood. Neil Patrick Harris, Balthazar Getty, David Arquette, Joaquin Phoenix and other celebs attended the bash and gave their support.
