If you don’t have the time or cash to afford a gym membership or a personal trainer, celebrity fitness guru Ramona Braganza has some smart moves for you.
The Los-Angeles trainer, who’s helped Jessica Alba, Halle Berry and Anne Hathaway get their bangin’ bodies, says that she herself prefers outdoor routines to doing the treadmill marathon inside. “For me, fitness must become a lifestyle,” she says. “I’d be bored going to the gym every day.” Her recommendations:
*Inline skating (which burns 425 calories in 30 minutes).
*Running (374 calories in 30 minutes).
*Jumping rope (340 calories in 30 minutes).
*Hula hooping (300 calories in 30 minutes. ) Braganza says that Beyonce and Marisa Tomei love this exercise.
*Tennis (272 calories in 30 minutes).
*Dancing (221 calories in 30 minutes).
*Walking vigorously (170 calories in 30 minutes).
The key to making these routines work is doing them vigorously. A leisurely walk with a friend just won’t burn many calories, Braganza says.
As always, check with your doctor before starting any exercise program. If you get the OK, it’s probably best to start with the exercises you know best, like walking. Once you move on to the more complicated stuff (inline skating) get some training from your local gym or fitness store before you actually do it. (CNN)
