Celebs Reveal Their Creepy Casting Couch Encounters
Gwyneth Paltrow and Lisa Rinna both share their casting couch nightmare stories.
We’ve all heard about the casting couch propositions by slimy agents with big egoes, but who knew they were still so creepy? Just this week, two Hollywood big shots, Gwyneth Paltrow and Lisa Rinna, are proving that the casting couch hasn’t changed that much.
In the November issue of Elle, Gwyneth reveals:
“When I was just starting out, someone suggested that we finish a meeting in the bedroom. I left. I was pretty shocked. I could see how someone who didn’t know better might worry, ‘My career will be ruined if I don’t give this guy a blow job!'”
Lisa Rinna had a very similar experience. She tells Popeater’s Rob Schuter:
“I lost a role on a BIG TV series because I wouldn’t bend over a chair in a producers office for ‘just a quickie. Just pull your panties down and bend over and the role is yours,’ he said to me.”
Gross! What an awful experience to go through when you’re just starting out. Obviously, both Gwyneth and Lisa were smart enough to get the heck out of those situations, but we can’t help but wonder how many Hollywood hopefuls have fallen in to that trap. For anyone who dreams of being an actress, it definitely makes you second guess the whole journey! (Elle, Popeater)
