The Family Home is also welcoming a number of high-profile entertainers and legendary athletes, including John MacReady, who will be at the Family Home to host parties and events and Olympic gymnastics legend Shawn Johnson, who is P&G’s official London correspondent reporting daily from the Family Home on behind-the-scenes activity with moms and athletes. Reports from Johnson will be featured on the P&G “Thank you, Mom” Facebook page and on Also — super cool: For every new @thankyoumom Twitter follower, P&G will donate one dollar to the USOC’s P&G|Team USA Youth Sports Fund, up to $50,000.

On the evening of Friday, July 27, the London Family Home officially opened with a housewarming party as families of hundreds of U.S. Olympians joined P&G in celebrating the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Games. Olympic gymnast and 2004 gold medal winner Carly Patterson sang the national anthem. Chills!
