CMA Red Carpet Style: The Good and the “Please Step Away from the Ruffles”
Country stars, movie stars and pop stars shared the stage in Nashville at the CMAs.
Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood once again shared hosting duties for the CMAs. Watching them onstage playing with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw Barbie dolls, you wonder why they haven’t done a comedy together. Taylor Swift of course won an award. This time around, she picked up the CMA Entertainer of the Year. Miranda Lambert scored the Female Vocalist of the Year and Video of the Year for The House That Built Me. The Band Perry keeps getting awards for If I Die Young. They grabbed the New Artist of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year.
Let’s get to who looked like they should have gotten an award for what they wore and who needed to go back to the dressing room.
This was the first of many spectacular outfits that Carrie Underwood wore last night. Each one was more fabulous than the last.
Surprise! Surprise! Nicole Kidman is actually back on this list! The gown, hair and accessories were simple and elegant. We’ve forgotten how good she could look on the red carpet.
We know by now that you can’t have a best dressed round up without Taylor Swift. She looks like a Country Music Queen in her J. Mendel gown, Louboutin shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Sportscaster Erin Andrews gives the red carpet a much needed burst of color with her pink ombre sequined outfit. Damn, I wish I had her legs.
On anyone else, this plain white gown would look like a bad Halloween costume. Faith Hill makes simplicity sexy.
