Deborah Lippmann Gives You Modelicious Nails
Specially designed for a fall fashion show, you can now wear it on your nails.
When the leaves turn color, we traditionally grab a deeper shade of nail polish. This season, try out this edgy yet romantic shade from Deborah Lippmann. Deborah Lippmann Fall Nail Color in Stormy Weather ($16, nordstrom.com) was created specifically for the Narciso Rodriguez 2011 fall fashion show. For each show that Deborah does, she creates a custom shade for each designer.
Here’s the story behind this sexy shade. Deborah says, “Traditionally Narciso requests a nude nail to complement his minimalist designs. But this time around, he wanted something bolder—a color with strength and edge that countered both his collection, and the softness of the hair and makeup. So in the middle of what was already a demanding week, I mixed (and mixed) a new shade by hand in a matter of 24 hours. The final look: an edgy granite that had everything Narciso wanted—power and intensity. The models who walked the show (and who rarely, if ever, comment on the nail color) gushed over the shade.”
