Eva Mendes: I’ve Never Felt Objectified
The actress says she’s always willing to bare all for a role, and she’s always in control.

From Calvin Klein ads to Training Day, we’ve all seen a lot of Eva Mendes. The actress recently opened up to W magazine about why she’s so comfortable stripping down.
“I’ve never had a problem with nudity, but I don’t put it out there without a reason,” Mendes said. “I’m not an exhibitionist. But, honestly, for my art I’ll do anything almost. I’ll go there.”
Mendes said she volunteered to go nude in 2001’s Training Day with Denzel Washington, though the script didn’t call for nudity.
“I know I walk a fine line between being a respected actor and being what they call a sex symbol,” Mendes continued. “But I’ve never felt objectified. Nothing you see me do is an accident… I might act like it’s an accident but the opposite is true. I’m incredibly calculated when it comes to my career.”
We’re glad to hear Mendes knows exactly what she’s doing! (People)
