What big beauty trends should we expect to see for spring 2011? If September’s New York Fashion Week has anything to say about it, spring beauty trends will be bright and wild, featuring vivid lips like Whitney Port’s, glowy cheeks and electrified eyes. Here’s how to re-create spring’s hottest looks at home, with product must-haves and professional application tips from Reggie Wells, Creative Director for Hissyfit Cosmetics and Oprah’s longtime makeup artist. The key to determining your best shade combinations explains Reggie, is to “work with your natural skin shade, and really accentuate your face’s prettiest feature. Spring is about a celebration of color this year.”
Juicy lip color
Matte lips are here to stay this spring. Lips are shine-free and set ablaze with juicy corals and bright reds that celebrate the season. To perfect your pout with this look, use multiple lip shades with the lightest shade placed in the center of both the top and bottom lip, while following with a liner pencil that is one tone darker than the original center.

Lids are awash in color this season. Give your eyes a switch up from the smoky look and make eyes pop with daring shades like fuchsia and bright purple. To ace this look, use a diverse color palette, like Hissyfit’s Eye Clockpots. It offers endless color combinations with twelve different high pigment shades. Apply a light colored eye shadow such as shell or pale silver in the inner eye corner to brighten significantly. This is done by dabbing your finger onto shadow and pressing into the inner corner where the upper lid meets the bottom lid. Accent by lining lids with a bold shade that makes the whites of eyes light whiter and brighter.
