Exclusive! Q&A With a Hot Boy: Drop Dead Diva’s Jackson Hurst
The Drop Dead Diva star dishes about what to expect in season two, working with Brad Pitt and his crush on Rachel McAdams.
Jackson Hurst has a flirtatious manner and just the hint of a Southern drawl, which makes him come off as oh-so-manly and charming. He plays the handsome lawyer Grayson Kent on Lifetime’s Drop Dead Diva. In the show Grayson has lost the love of his life, the beautiful Deb (Brooke D’Orsay), in a tragic accident—but little does this mourning attorney know that Deb has been put into the zaftig body of his colleague, Jane (Brooke Elliott).
Now the 30-year-old Texas native is gearing up for Season 2 of Drop Dead Diva (filmed in Atlanta), airing June 6 at 9p.m. EST on Lifetime. In addition, he’s been busy shooting The Tree of Life alongside Brad Pitt, which comes out this year. The film also stars Sean Penn and was directed by Terrence Malick. Jackson recently completed the starring lead role in a $9-million-budget indie film, The Loop, directed by Margaret Whitton, about a man in search of his past, and a woman who lives in the moment who come together in pursuit of the origins of a stray parrot.
Jackson’s whole-hearted approach to a script, ability to make smart choices and undeniable sex-appeal makes it clear there is a new star on the rise in Tinsel Town. Move over Brad, it’s all about Jackson!
