Anne Hathaway Alice in Wonderland

Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland may be a little flawed, but it does feature some wonderful performances from Mia Wasikowska, Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter—and Anne. She may not be quite the chameleon that Johnny is, but she was drastically different as the White Queen than she is in any other film she’s been in, so hats off to that.

9. Princess Penelope, The Simpsons (2010)

Right around 2010 was when people remembered that Anne had a musical theatre background—and boy, did they ever start to capitalize on it! As a singing, dancing children’s entertainer with a secret love for Krusty the Clown, she totally stole the show on a 2010 episode of The Simpsons. Literally—she won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance.

10. Selina Kyle/Catwoman, The Dark Knight Rises (2012)

We were a little skeptical when it was first announced that they were bringing back Catwoman for the final installment of Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy—after all, who could ever top Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns?—but we have faith that Anne is more than up to the task of filling Selina Kyle’s stilettos. Meow!

Be sure to catch Anne in The Dark Knight Rises, in cinemas this Friday!
