Get Him to the Greek is a Comedic Smash!
The raunchy new flick starring Russell Brand and Jonah Hill hits theatres Friday.
Wrangling rock stars is no easy task. In the new comedy Get Him to the Greek, record company intern Aaron Green (Jonah Hill) is assigned the task of bringing in the most out-of-control, sex and drug-crazed rock star imaginable (played by the hilarious Russell Brand). Here’s what the critics are saying about the film so far.
When rock legend Aldous Snow (Brand) releases a disastrous new song called “African Child” (“The worst thing to happen to Africa since apartheid,” as one reviewer puts it), the legend takes a downward spiral into sex and drugs.
Jonah Hill plays a desperate record company intern who must round-up the hedonistic rock ‘n’ roll madman and bring him to LA’s Greek Theatre in time for the first stop of a $100 million comeback tour.
Along the way they run into every imaginable form of sex, drugs and, yes, rock ‘n’ roll as the lowly intern must improvise and pull out all the stops in order to get the rocker to LA by the deadline.
And so far, critics think the ride is a rollicking good time.
