Go Behind the Scenes with the ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ Pop Up Experience
If you live in L.A., lucky you—you’re going to get the chance to get up close and personal with the gorgeous costumes of Snow White and the Huntsman at the movie’s Pop Up Experience!
Do you live in or around L.A.? If you do, we’re incredibly jealous of you, because starting next Saturday, May 19, you’re going to get the chance to get up close and personal with Snow White and the Huntsman. How, you ask? The Snow White and the Hunstman Pop Up Experience!
Opening at 7710 Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, the SWATH Pop Up Experience will be available for viewing every Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm until June 3. The exhibit will feature a whole bunch of costumes from the film worn by Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth and designed by Colleen Atwood. Colleen, by the way, has won three Oscars over the course of her long and extremely successful career (for Chicago, Memoirs of a Geisha, and Alice in Wonderland); she’s been nominated for nine. Lady knows what she’s doing!
Ooo, a sneak peek!
Not only that, but should you venture into the woods with Snow and the Huntsman, you’ll also have the opportunity to walk out of them with an amazingly unique souvenir: Either bring an item from home or pick one out at the pop up’s boutique, then have it silkscreened with designs inspired by the movie. Chris Johnson, Universal Pictures’ Specialty Publicist, told the Hollywood Reporter, “You pick the designs and where you want them and walk out with your own one-of-a-kind item.” Sounds pretty neat! Johnson also apparently hinted that a famous LA artist would also be taking part in the experience, but he didn’t say who (it’s super top secret, of course). The Hollywood Reporter speculates that it might be Banksy, but we’ll just have to wait and see to find out.
Have a design of your own? Submit it! The designs are all coming from an open call for original artwork inspired by the film. Of the submissions, 10 artists will be chosen and subsequently featured at the pop up.
No word on whether Kristen or Chris will be able to make an appearance at the pop up; they’re both super busy right now (and understandably so). But don’t let that stop you; we here at BettyConfidential would kill to get that close a look at the movie’s glorious costumes! Planning on going? Let us know how it is!
Snow White and the Huntsman hits cinemas on June 1.
