3. The “Summer Jams” Playlist
Okay, so this one isn’t strictly a GOOP occurrence, but when paired with the $90 t-shirt/$200 jeans incident (which happened at roughly the same time), it definitely becomes ridiculous enough for us to include. Earlier in the summer, Gwyneth uploaded her “Summer Jams” playlist to Jay-Z’s Life + Times website. It includes tracks from Frank Ocean, Beach House, and Grimes, all of which seem kind of incongruous with what we think of when we think of Gwyneth Paltrow—but really, the best part is imagining sentences like “This here is my summer jam—when the beat drops one minute in I get super stoked” coming out of Gwynnie’s mouth. Classic.
4. The GOOP City iPhone App
COOP City is essentially a guide to New York City specifically for the one percent. Highlights include shopping at Bergdorf Goodman, a $995-a-night stay in the Eloise suite at the Plaza, and a stop at No. 6 (where prices start at $495 for a pair of shoes). Bonus: Apparently you can find a taxi at pretty much any time in this town. Since we here at BettyConfidential are all based in New York, we can officially confirm to you that this is true only if you happen to be Gwyneth Paltrow. The GOOP City app now includes London and LA, as well.
