When Gwyneth Paltrow has a baby, it is not like when other people have babies. Her maternity essentials, which she shared in the April 5, 2012 edition of the GOOP newsletter, include things like Hatch, a maternity clothing line which includes a pair of $148 faux-leather leggings. To be fair, some of the items included are cute, functional, and surprisingly affordable (these fruit and veggie-shaped organic plushies, for instance, which cost a mere $8); but really? $148 faux-leather maternity leggings? What’s wrong with plain, old, regular, $9.99 leggings? Those work for maternity wear, too!
6. Hangovers, GOOP-Style
Shortly before New Years’, Gwyneth gave us all some helpful tips for dealing with the inevitable hangover. There’s just one problem: The advice isn’t really that sound. Dr. Michael Lucchesi, the chief of medical staff at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, debunked a number of Gwynnie’s tips in the New York Post; he was particularly baffled by the thought of sticking yourself in a hot steam room when you’re already dehydrated. Bad idea, though we appreciate your concern, Gwyneth!
