7. The GOOP Cleanse
Though detox cleanses have been the diet fad of the moment, science doesn’t really support them as effective. At first glance, the GOOP cleanse is pretty appealing; unlike, say, the Master Cleanse, there’s actual solid food involved, so you’re not just living off of lemonade for a week. However, as this blogger can testify, it only really works if you have the time in your schedule to prep everything—which, to be honest, most of us don’t. Also, the GOOP cleanse kit costs $425—not including all of the groceries you’ll need to get in order to stick to the menu. Glad it worked for you, Gwynnie, but yikes!
8. “A Day in the Life”
As with pregnancy, Gwyneth Paltrow’s version of being a career mom is not like other peoples’ version of being a career mom (she lives in a CASTLE, for goodness’ sake). The same applies to her friends. Yep: When trying to get an idea of what a typical working mom’s schedule is like, Gwyneth, who is a millionaire, enlisted the help of Juliet de Baubigny and Stella McCartney—two OTHER millionaires. Don’t get me wrong, these women do a pretty impressive work/home juggling act; but Gwynnie? Millionaire mother tips aren’t really applicable for most of the working moms out there (according to ABC News, this particular day in Gwyneth Paltrow’s life cost $3,606.50. For one day!). Points for trying, though!
