Hey, Celebs Were Once Interns, Too!
Even stars like John Krasinski started out at the bottom of the office totem pole.
“Summertime, and the living’s easy…”
Unless you’re an intern. Now is the time of year when the summer internships begin, and office buildings are invaded by wide-eyed youngsters figuring out how to use a fax machine and dial an extension.
If you happen to have one in your office this summer, try not to pity them – they could end up being famous one day. Yep, there are some very well-known names and faces who got their start as lowly coffee-fetchers, and Huffington Post has a whole list of them.
The talk show queen, Oprah was an intern at a CBS affiliate in Nashville before catching her break as an anchor. Legendary director Steven Spielberg interned at Universal Studios, where he convinced an exec to watch one of his films. And funnyman John Krasinski was a young intern at Late Night With Conan O’Brien back in 2000.
Just to remind you, Krasinski is now a cast member on one of the hottest TV shows, The Office, and he’s also dating the mega beautiful movie star, Emily Blunt.
So, be nice to your interns this summer. You might just kill for the chance to get their coffee one day. (Huffington Post)
