Rachel McAdams is well-known for her constantly-changing hair colors; whether blonde or brunette, her glossy locks always shine. Usually, though, she wears her hair long—so what are we to make of the new, shorter ‘do she’s recently been spotted with?

According to Gossip Center, Rachel passed through London’s Paddington Station (yes, that Paddington Station) this past Friday on her way to shoot some scenes for her latest movie, About Time. Clad in a green sweater, jeans, and brown boots, she grabbed some sushi before boarding her train.

Notably, she’s chopped all of her hair off and changed its color yet again for the film. Instead of the long, flowing mane she normally sports, she now has a bob that hits just above her shoulders and bangs; furthermore, though her hair is naturally a golden blonde, she’s gone for a darker, almost strawberry blonde here. Here’s a comparison shot from the premiere of The Vow earlier this year:

So: What do you think, Bettys? To be honest? I’m… not really a fan. There’s something about bangs with a blunt, flyaway bob that just doesn’t do it for me. That said, though, Rachel’s a gorgeous woman and a competent actress; she’d probably be able to pull off just about anything. Plus, it’s for a role, and I’m always willing to roll with a new cut or color when it’s a character choice.

About Time sounds pretty neat, by the way; described as a time-travel romance, it also stars Bill Nighy. Zooey Deschanel was originally set to star, but had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. We think Rachel was an excellent replacement! Be sure to watch for it cinemas sometime in 2013.
