It’s a miracle we didn’t swipe our Mastercards a billion times at the ENKNYC menswear showroom. We love a guy’s alluring smile, sensitive touch, and sultry hazelnut eyes, but their closets of faded jeans and collared polos (yawn) just won’t cut it this fall, or ever. From lightweight plaid tops to perfect-fitting jeans and even leather military boots, we’ve got the fall fashion trends he’s got to be seen in.

Rainwear always comes in bulk. So instead of simple rain-repellent jackets, designers have added bright colors for an extra pop. The athletic jackets at Bench have vibrant neon zippers and lining, perfect for late-night joggers. The fashion Swiss Army Victorinox accentuates its coats with fall’s signature hue, orange.

It’s all about the layers – printed tees, knit sweaters, plaid over shirts – you name, you layer it, and not because the temperature’s below zero. Have him start with a graphic printed tee from the rock ‘n roll brand of Peter Prince Collection, whose iconic black pussycat shirt has been seen on Katy Perry, Russell Brand, Rupert Grint and other celebs. Cover that T-shirt with a lightweight and practically transparent knit sweater from the Cali boys of Roark

Military fever isn’t just hitting Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake. Bed Stu’s reinvented a staple of the army uniform for a handmade leather boot, zippered or laced. The designs at Calvin Klein Footwear complement (not copy) this style with their own line of heavy military boots that come in leather or suede.

Accessories

What can I say? Leather is pleasure. Well, Italian leather that is. Straight from Italy come Will Leather Goods’ purple and putty colored artisan belts that’ll make his waistline bulge with color.

And J. Fold’s leather zipper totes are work efficient with their twin laptop pockets. If your guy has a “man purse” phobia, it needs to go.

Jeans

Boys will be boys and jeans will be, well, jeans. William Rast recommends old school denims from, wait for it, Italy! For the day-to-day guy, they’ve got fewer boot cut and more straight and relaxed jeans.

And for the adventurous guys of New York or Los Angeles, Hudson Jeans suggests a pair of colored (red perhaps) salvaged jeans. But then again, you can never go wrong with a classic five-pocket pair.

And for when the snow melts:

If you want your guy to get ahead of the season game (and who wouldn’t), spring and summer 2012 consists of everything lazy and comfy. The bohemian Liber NY’s“Brooklyn Meets Hawaii” line transforms formal attire such as tuxedos into casual, beachy clothes. Singapore’s own Sifr only adds to the couch potato look with its slip-on tassle loafers and knit sweaters.
