How to Get Michelle Obama’s Arms
Tips from her trainer that you can use to get first-rate arms like the first lady.

Quick, what do you admire most about Michelle Obama? Besides her extensive education, wonderful wardrobe and positive personality, we bet you thought about her arms.
There’s no denying they’re impressive – taut, toned, but not too big – and look incredible in all the sleeveless ensembles she sports. We look on with envy as she confidently waves with no visible after-shakes and wonder how she gets them. And, more importantly, is there anything we can do to make ours look that good?
Now, her secrets are out. Women’s Health recently interviewed the man behind her awesome arms – Cornell McClellan, the personal trainer who has worked with Michelle since 1997.
He provides a nine-minute workout using a pull-station bar and dumbbells. On the bar he suggests a “Tricep Pushdown with Grip Flip”:
Attach a straight bar to the high pulley of a cable station and grab the bar with an overhand grip, hands shoulder-width apart.
Tuck your upper arms next to your sides and bend your elbows more than 90 degrees. Without moving your upper arms, push the bar down until your arms are straight.
Pause, then return to the starting position. That’s 1 rep. Do 15 reps, then reverse your grip so that you’re grasping the bar underhand and immediately do another 15 reps.
