Angelina Jolie is one of the world’s most famous actresses, but she may soon give up her craft. Jolie, who stars in this summer’s action film Salt, set for a July 23 release, opened up to Vanity Fair about balancing work and family, and why she’s just about ready to quit the business.
“It is not the most important thing in my life,” Jolie said of acting. “It’s a fun job. It’s a luxury. But I don’t think I’ll do it much longer.”
It isn’t too surprising Jolie wants to take time away from acting. Who wouldn’t want to spend more time with Brad Pitt and those six adorable kids?
“I have a happy home,” Jolie added. “I got back from work last night and everybody was playing music and dancing and I suddenly found myself dancing around with a bunch of little fun crazy people.”
And how are those ‘little fun crazy people’? Jolie said the kids are all just fine, thank you, including Shiloh – despite critics’ concerns about her boyish style.
“[Shiloh] likes to dress like a boy,” Jolie said. “She wants to be a boy. So we had to cut her hair. She likes to wear boys’ everything. She thinks she’s one of the brothers.”
Jolie doesn’t seem too worried about Shiloh’s style, and adds that of all the kids, Shiloh is the most like Angie was as a kid – “goofy and verbal, the early signs of a performer.”
