IVF Founder Robert Edwards Wins Nobel Peace Prize
We have this guy to thank for ‘Jon+Kate Plus 8’ and ‘Raising Sextuplets’.
Jon and Kate Plus 8 and Raising Sextuplets are just two television shows starring multiples conceived by In Vitro Fertilization. Robert Edwards, who pioneered the controversial practice, has nabbed himself a Nobel Peace Prize! “Today, Robert Edwards’ vision is a reality and brings joy to infertile people all over the world,” the Nobel Committee said in Stockholm.
In addition to the famous families of multiples, Robert has helped couples all over the world who have had difficulty conceiving realize their dream of having children. The first IVF success, Louise Brown, is now 32 and has a son of her own. (Yahoo)
