Jerry Seinfeld: Jealous of Lady Gaga?
The comedian totally dissed Gaga during his latest radio interview.
Is that jealousy we here in your voice, Jerry Seinfeld? You were pretty heated during a radio interview with WFAN on Monday night when the subject turned to Lady Gaga, and we’d like to know why.
“This woman is a jerk. I hate her,” you said. Apparently, you’re annoyed security at Citi Field put her in your private box during the Mets game on June 10. “”I can’t believe they put her in my box, which I paid for!” you moaned.
We get it if your angry stance was just a part of your stand-up to entertain radio listeners, but something about Lady Gaga seems to really get under your skin. You sounded pretty serious when you said you didn’t get what “these young people think or how they promote their careers.”
Are you upset because times have changed and you now feel like an outsider looking in? If you must know, Lady Gaga is currently the hottest thing since sliced bread – everybody loves her. And, although she’s a little bit off her rocker and every bit unconventional, she has millions of fans and Hollywood has embraced her with open arms.
She’s kind of like you, 12 years ago, when Seinfeld was in its prime and everyone adored you, Kramer, Elaine, and George. My, how times do change.
When asked if you’ve had enough of Lady Gaga, you responded, “Yeah.”
You may be sick of her, Jerry, but the rest of the world isn’t – yet. So, let her have her time to shine, OK? (New York Post)
