Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey Debut “All I Want for Christmas” Video
All Justin Bieber and Mariah Carey want for Christmas is you!
And in non-baby-related Justin Bieber news, the hotly anticipated music video for the equally anticipated holiday duet by the Biebs and Mariah Carey finally made its debut last night during the Christmas in Rockefeller Center special. Cue the sleigh bells!
Justin and Mariah teamed up together to sing holiday favorite “All I Want for Christmas” on Justin’s new album, Under the Mistletoe. Though my own personal favorite version of the song will always be the one from Love Actually (mostly because Thomas Sangster was just so adorable as an utterly smitten kid), this one’s full of the appropriate red and furry cheer. Literally—Justin and Mariah are sporting some pretty snazzy-looking red outfits trimmed in white fur here. The video was shot after hours at Macy’s in New York, which must have been a blast; who hasn’t dreamed of running around a crowd-free Macy’s during the holidays?
I’ll admit that I find it a little unsettling to watch the teenaged Biebs and the 41-year-old, married-with-kids Mariah Carey shoot longing glances at each other across the store, but hey, at least they look like they’re having some grand old retail fun. There’s also a puppy. Just sayin’. Check it out here:
Under the Mistletoe is Justin’s first holiday album and his second studio album. It features a mix of new renditions of classic songs like “Santa Clause Is Coming to Town” and a couple of original tunes, such as “Mistletoe” (which, by the by, was released as the album’s first single back in October). The album features collaborations not only with Mariah Carey, but also with Boyz II Men, Usher, and Busta Rhymes. Baby mama drama’s not a problem when you’ve got a team like that watching your back!
