You may know that Jersey Shore’s Jwoww launched a clothing line earlier this year. The line, called Filthy Couture, was aimed at aspiring Jersey girls, and got so much publicity and traffic that the online store crashed on the day it launched over the summer. But now, poor Jwoww’s dreams of becoming an internationally acclaimed fashion designer have come to an end.
“Due to trademark issues the company was shut down,” a friend of Jwoww told RadarOnline.com. “Money needed to be returned to the people who had ordered clothing.”
Apparently, Jwoww wasn’t the only designer who liked the name Filthy Couture – another company threatened to sue for the name.
“She could have given her line a new name but instead decided to just let it go,” another source close to Jwoww said. “She’s no longer designing [clothes] for her line and I’m not sure if she’ll ever do it again.”
And with that, the world lost another talented, dedicated designer. Side note: Does anyone actually know what the word “couture” means anymore? (RadarOnline.com)
