Lindsay Lohan is expected to begin a 90-day prison sentence today in Southern California, but she may have to do so without a lawyer. Famed defense attorney Robert Shapiro quit Lohan’s case yesterday, so her former lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley, who quit the case earlier this month, is stepping up again, according to

Meanwhile, Lindsay has been sharing her fears about prison with her loyal Twitter followers:

“The only ‘bookings’ that I’m familiar with are Disney Films, never thought that I’d be ‘booking’ into Jail… eeeks,” Lindsay wrote. “Eeeks” indeed.

So what’s waiting for Lilo at the Lynwood Correctional Facility? According to, not too many showers. Lindsay will only be allowed to shower every other day. She will also spend the bulk of her time alone – up to 20 hours a day. She will be able to exercise three times a week, and will get three meals a day – two cold, one hot. She may not even be allowed to take all of her prescriptions as she serves her sentence, depending on what prison officials decide.

She is expected to turn herself in at 8:30 a.m. PT – if she does not, a warrant will be issued for her arrest. will run a live stream of Lindsay’s hearing, so you can see the whole thing for yourself.

Updated at 11:38 a.m.: Lindsay arrived at the courthouse with her on-again lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley. Her dad, Michael, arrived a few minutes ahead of her. Now the E! cameras are trained on the surprisingly sparkly cememnt outside the courthouse. More to come soon!

Updated at 11:42 a.m.: The judge explained that Robert Shapiro showed up at the court yesterday to consult with the judge. Holley said he acted as a “consultant,” though was never an attorney on the case. Poor Lindsay looks exhausted, as though she spent the night crying.

Updated at 11:48 a.m.: Lindsay will have to report for probation within 24 hours of finishing her prison sentence. Now the cameras are off due to a court order. We’ll be back on in a few!

Updated at 12:00 p.m.: Michael Lohan has emerged from the courtroom to pose for pictures with Lindsay’s fans, including one person who showed up with “Free Lindsay” sign. Best dad ever!

Updated at 12 p.m.: Michael and his lawyer Lisa Bloom are making a statement “He’s devastated that she’s going to jail…he loves his daughter very much and will continue to pray for her,” Bloom said.

Updated at 12:07 p.m.: Dina Lohan emerged from the courthouse and ducked into a black SUV, which immediately pulled away. Shocker: Dina didn’t say anything!

Updated at 12:09 p.m.: According to, Lindsay has already been cuffed and taken to prison, though this moment was not caught on film.

Updated at 12:35 p.m.: keeps cutting to the Good Day LA morning show. In true California fashion (we love you CA Bettys!) the show seems to have a helicopter following the sedan that’s allegedly taking Lindsay to jail. Truly compelling television.

Updated at 4:28 p.m.: Los Angeles Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore tells People that LiLo will only spend about 14 days in jail. “She is scheduled to be released on either Aug. 1 or 2 for overcrowding issues and good behavior,”  he said.

  1. I feel sorry for her too!!!Lord she didn’t murder someone. I pray she learns from all this. Being in prison for missing classes..90 days(which if she behaves earlier) is a lesson she needed. FU on her nails and all she said going out of court. Tough love is hard but necessary, everything happens for a reason.

  2. Sorry for her why she asked for it . If it was one of us we would have already been behind bars. She’s no better than the rest of us let her do her time. Good riddence to her,

  3. I hope that she can take this time and grow up. She needs to take responsibility for her actions, but with her mom backing her stories I’m afraid it won’t ever happen.

I feel that Lindsey got what she deserved as she failed to follow simple and basic instructions laid down to her from a court of Law.This sentence was a result of her defiant attitude a continuing breaking the law. Justice shall prevail,as the saying goes, and this should comply to all. I think and have seen in the past that celebrities have been getting off too easy.
