Lindsay Lohan Is a Free Woman! Now What?
The troubled star was released from rehab on Monday after staying at the Betty Ford Center for over 90 days.
After spending over three months in rehab at the Betty Ford Center, Lindsay Lohan was allowed to leave Monday to start her life anew. Though this isn’t the first time she’s left rehab, this was her longest stint in recovery, so everyone is hopeful LiLo has officially adopted a sober lifestyle.
She will be tested for drugs and alcohol and will see a psychiatrist periodically before she has a court hearing on February 24. On the same day she was released, she moved into a 4-bedroom, 4-bath condo in Venice, CA, which reportedly costs $7100 a month to rent, and is extremely close to her ex, Samantha Ronson’s house.
LiLo’s parents, Dina and Michael Lohan, are trying to make their daughter’s transition from rehab to real life as drama-free as possible. Michael is going so far as to put the bad blood between him and Dina aside for the sake of Lindsay, as he told CBS Early Show, “If Dina and I can’t get on the same page and resolve the differences she believes that we have, it’s going to be a never-ending battle for Lindsay. She needs that stability in her family. All my kids need it.”
Meanwhile, Dina is just asking that everyone give her daughter her space. “I thank everyone for their support,” she told Popeater, “but I ask as a mother that she be given the time and space she needs.”
Let’s hope for Lindsay’s sake that she will practice what she preached in a tweet on Saturday: “Today is the first day of the rest of my life. The future depends on what we do in the present.’ -Mahatma Gandhi… One step at a time…” Good luck LiLo!
