Look, Everyone! Ellen Was in ‘Titanic!’
What might ‘Titanic’ have been like had funnylady Ellen DeGeneres appeared in it? Find out here!
Okay, so Ellen DeGeneres wasn’t REALLY in Titanic… but this hilarious video clip is enough to make us wish that she had been. In honor of (or perhaps in parody of…) last weekend’s release of Titanic 3D, Ellen brought out a very special video from the vaults: Her hitherto unseen “cameo” from the film which supposedly ended up on the cutting room floor. Laugh-out-loud funny? I think so!
Thanks to the same editing magic that allowed her to take on the cast of The Bachelor in that wacky “The Women Tell All” special, the funnylady was able to digitally insert herself into Titanic’s infamous drawing scene (you know the one—“Draw me like one of your French girls” and all that). Naturally, Ellen took on the role of a fellow artist preparing to use Kate Winslet’s Rose as a subject. How did she fare against Leo’s—er, Jack’s—drawing skills? Well… let’s just say that there may have been a slight difference of artistic vision. Check it out here!
Oh, Ellen. Never change. “Holy tugboat” is now my favorite expression of disbelief. I also think that James Cameron could learn a thing or two about how not to take yourself too seriously from Ellen. One thing’s for sure: Had she actually appeared in it, Titanic certainly would have been quite a different movie!
I wonder if she found Nemo once the ship went down?
