If you’re going for more of an easy, breezy, warm weather look, the Galleon maxi dress will be picture perfect during those summer months. It’s something we’d rock everywhere from the boardwalk to a lunch date –the rich purple hue and intricate gold patterns make it incredibly versatile.
As a beach cover up, the Sea Star dress’ flowing fabric and ‘notice-me’ shade will have guys flock to you as you’re watching the waves.
And when it comes to pants, the Voyager trouser is airy enough for a warm spring day on the grass. We’re feeling nostalgic already!
This collection is filled with more than a few must-haves for the Kat Von D gal. But there are also several misses that definitely would not get you Johnny Depp’s attention. First up, the Billow could have been a trendy white and grey tunic, but looks more like an oversized plastic bag. Maybe, just maybe, it would look better belted, but the uneven grey coloring on the bottom screams ‘I was just swimming in dirty water.’ Eek.
Though every lady could use a pair of summer shorts, you might want to avoid the Luna shorts. These acid wash cutoffs should stay in the ’80s and out of our closets.
And the Banyan skirt’s ruched sides make it a bit too bulky –even for naturally slim women. Do we really want to invest in bottoms that make us look larger? Didn’t think so!
Though almost all of the tees and leggings were wearable, we’re hoping Kat steps it up a bit in future collections. Despite the bumps, we do recommend investing in one of her gorgeous jackets or dresses. Coupled with Kat’s smoky shadows, you’ll look sexy all spring long!
