L’Oreal Paris is Looking for Women of Worth!
Nominate a woman who’s making a difference in her community.
L’Oreal Paris’ Women of Worth annually honors American women who work within their community and sometimes throughout the entire US to make a difference via volunteering.
Each year, the nominations are narrowed down to 10 women. They are honored at an annual dinner and each is given $10,000 for her charitable cause. One national honoree will be chosen via a public online vote and will receive an additional $25,000 for her charity.
This past year Robin Steele (pictured above with Hoda Kotbe) of Cheerful Givers was honored for her work in assisting parents who are struggling financially to give their children a birthday. Other 2010 honorees include Ethel Paley of FRIA, the organization works to bring needed services to seniors in nursing homes and Lynn Gaubatz who created Adopt A Library.org, the website links libraries who need books and people who want to donate books.
Nominations are open until June 30th for this year’s honorees. So step up to the place and nominate a volunteer you know who is making a difference. You can visit the the L’Oreal Paris Women of Worth site and either nominate your favorite volunteer online or download the form.
