Who do you think are the most cutting-edge fashion icons today? What is it about their style that makes them so unique?

I have three current favorites: Kate Bosworth, because she experiments with interesting silhouettes, and she supports a lot of up-and-coming designers; Nicole Richie, because she is the queen of boho glam; and Olivia Palermo, because she is unreal at mixing prints and textures. Her style is unique and gorgeous.

Who are you favorite designers? What sets them head and shoulders above the rest for you?

Marchesa– nobody else makes a fairytale dress like that. I saw their show yesterday and it was ethereal, beautiful, jaw-dropping. Tibi is my go-to for well-tailored, bright modern pieces.

If there was one item, and one item only you could purchase for fall, what would it be and why?

A bright coat from Tibi. People judge you in the first 8 seconds of meeting you (apparently), so first impressions count. A chic, boldly-colored coat will set you apart from the rest.

Do you have any tips or advice for aspiring young fashionistas?

Persevere. You have to work hard and often for free to break into this industry, but keep smiling as you make coffee/photocopy, because the fun parts of the job are worth waiting for!

Catch Louise’s collection’s exclusively at HSN, on sale today!
