Love It or Hate It? Scarlett Johansson + Jessica Biel at the ‘Hitchcock’ Premiere
Leading ladies Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Biel went shiny and sparkly for the premiere of ‘Hitchcock.’ Love the looks or hate them? Weigh in here!
You know what movie we can’t wait to see next? Hitchcock. In fact, we’re so excited for its Friday release that we recently rounded up a whole bunch of the filmmaker’s best leading ladies in preparation for it. And hey, guess what? It had its big premiere in New York this past Sunday! You know what that means, of course: Do you love these two looks, or hate them?
I’m talking, of course, about the looks worn by Scarlett Johnsson, who plays Janet Leigh, and Jessica Biel—sorry, Timberlake—who takes on the role of Vera Miles. Take a look at them above: Scarlett wore a black and green Rodarte minidress, while Jessica for Oscar de la Renta and earrings by Lorraine Schwartz. And while they’re both sparkly and festive… both ensembles kind of leave me scratching my head.
Let me ‘splain: While I quite like the rich color combination of Scarlett’s getup, I can’t quite figure out what’s going on with the actual print of it (if, in fact, one can describe it as a print—I’m not totally sure what it is, but “print” is the best I’ve got, so “print” is what it shall be). And Jessica? This sort of reminds me of something Liza Minnelli once wore. Or perhaps more accurately, it reminds me of something that the Lady of the Lake wears while doing a Liza Minnelli impression in Spamalot:
Okay, so Jessica’s outfit isn’t quite as fringe-y as the Lady of the Lake’s is, but you get what I mean.
I suppose if I HAD to pick a favorite between Scarlett and Jessica, I’d go with Scarlett; but really, I’m going to pass on both of them. Sorry, ladies.
Tell us: What do you think of ScarJo’s and Jessica’s Hitchcock premiere looks? Yea or nay?
