Love It! Tina Fey Channels Audrey Hepburn on the Cover of ‘Entertainment Weekly’
Tina Fey goes all Audrey Hepburn on us on the cover of this week’s ‘Entertainment Weekly.’ Love it!
As far as we’re concerned here at BettyConfidential, Tina Fey can do no wrong. We may be mourning the fact that our beloved 30 Rock will wrap up its seven season run this year, but at least we know that we’ve got new and exciting things to look forward to: Tina just inked a new deal for four more years at NBC, where she’ll work on developing new shows with the option to act, should she feel like it. Indeed, said NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt, “She’s been a cornerstone of the network for over the past 10 years and there was just no way we were going to let her get away. It’s a measure of our esteem for her as a writer, actress and producer—she’s in a class by herself.” Hear, hear!
To cope with the loss, Entertainment Weekly has an amazing interview running in their current issue—and what’s this? Tina as Audrey Hepburn on the cover of the mag? Fab!
Channeling Audrey’s classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s character, Holly Golightly, Tina rocks a super curvaceous look: Black satin dress, mile-high hair, tiara, gloves, the works. She’s even got the cigarette holder and the cat! Here’s the original image:
It’s a pretty good likeness, no? Sure, a couple of the details are a tiny bit different—Tina’s cat is white instead of ginger, her neckline is higher, and it looks like instead of being a necklace, the bling at her throat is part of the dress itself. But all in all, not too shabby!
We’re used to seeing Tina all gussied up on the red carpet (hello, Emmy Awards best dressed list!), but we’re loving this vintage look on her. Be sure to pick up this week’s issue of EW to read the full interview (apparently one of the sketches she submitted to land her SNL gig had “something to do with a legal trial about pudding”)!
Tell us: Do you think Tina pulls off Audrey’s classic look as well as we do?
