Matt Damon: Brangelina “Are Like Prisoners”
The Oscar winner talks celebrity and how he manages to stay away from the crazy.
It isn’t easy being Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (because being multi-millionaires and gorgeous is REALLY hard)! Or at least that’s the way their buddy Matt Damon sees it.
In an interview with German television TELE 5, Damon compares the actors to “prisoners,” stating, “They can’t just go someplace. If they go for a walk, it turns into an international incident.”
Yet, the Oscar winner himself somehow manages to avoid all the craziness. “I’m really lucky, because I have the best of both worlds. I do the work that I love and need, but don’t need paramilitary troops to protect me when I walk out my front door,” Damon says.
It just may be that Damon has figured out the tricks to avoiding the crazy. “I’m not as crazy as most of the other stars. I don’t really know why, probably because I married a woman who isn’t an actress. And we live in New York.” says the star.
Looks like the Bostonian has grown fond of his rival city, stating, “As long as we don’t show up in typical tourist spots, we can walk the streets without being noticed. New Yorkers are very cool, they don’t flip out if they see me.”
Perhaps, Brad and Angie should take a cue from their buddy Damon and head to the Big Apple!
